    EMDR

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a method used to treat a variety of disorders including depression, anxiety, and traumatic memories. It was originally designed to treat post traumatic stress with trauma victims. Now it is utilized for a variety of behaviors as an accelerated treatment process that offers relief for upsetting past events and therefore improves present life conditions.

EMDR helps to uncover hidden aspects of your problem, and allows you to go directly to your healing destination, while accessing the natural healing abilities of your deeper self.

EMDR also installs positive behaviors during the process by allowing you to connect to the useful resources within.

During the process you will be asked to focus on a specific area of upset or stress, and gradually the ability to focus internally and externally is accomplished.

Several years later, it was discovered that this process might also be applied in an auditory format, which is the type of EMDR that I prefer to utilize with my clients.
